As the daughter of an Army chaplain, I've moved all over the country and always struggled to find a sense of belonging. I wanted a home I could choose for myself.
So I turned to stories. Stories where the characters struggle with loneliness too and build connections with others as they travel through whimsical worlds. Stories of found family and home. Like the Burrow in Harry Potter.
Stories that gave me hope that I could find belonging in the real world, even after I set down the book.
Stories for the lost and lonely
Because of my struggle with loneliness, I aim to write enchanting stories that feel like a refuge in the darkness.
Gentle stories that are honest about the hardships of growing up, such as mental health and navigating relationships, but won't rip your heart out and leave you there.
And of course, stories with characters you can really get to know and love. <3
